Reshoring is happening: 35 big factory groundbreakings since September, strong nondefense capital goods orders and shipments, and a capital spending boom. This supports US manufacturing activity and employment, with manufacturing job gains expected to accelerate in the first half of the year as factories are built and machines installed.
